Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent GED.

Customer Service experience required.

Excellent interpersonal skills: this is a patient-facing position.

Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent computer skills.
Responsibilities
-
Interact effectively with patients, family members and vendors as appropriate.

Interact effectively with physicians and staff.
-
Assist patients, assemble chart information, make patient appointments.
-
Assists with patient flow, triage, and rooming patients.

Competently and accurately obtain patient information.

Takes and records vital signs as appropriate; assists provider in clinic.
-
Obtains patient histories and medications and documents in patient chart.
-
Quickly and efficiently responds to patient inquiries and requests.

Responsible for documentation of all patient interaction in the EMR.

Tracks tests / other reports and verify results are available for physician review prior to patient follow up appointments.

Coordinate work comp appointments and authorizations.
-
Work closely with adjusters and employers to make sure all provider documentation is received and sent in a timely manner.

Collect, maintain, update, and document all relevant information for the treatment of patients and payment of workers’ compensation claims.

Responsible for completion of disability forms.

Other tasks as assigned by supervisor, medical assistant, or provider
